Elephant Food Support Package – Pick Up Truck of Grass & Banana Stalks

The Elephant Food Support Package provides a pickup truck of grass & banana tree stalks (about 1.5 tonnes) for the elephants at our Saddle Off projects. Elephants are the largest land herbivores and need to consume vast qualities of food, between 150-250 kg of food per day.  Major components of their diet include grasses, leaves, roots, tree bark, and certain leafy bushes such as bamboo and all parts of the banana tree.
